Story
Struggling on the road, the number one team in the nation, the North Carolina Tarheels, were determined to find a way to down the unranked Clemson Tigers. As the second half wore on, it seemed as though the Tarheels hopes of retaining their #1 rank was not a realistic thought, but what was about to happen was something that not even the players had envisioned. With 3.4 seconds to go in the game, trailing by two points the ball was passed in from the sideline to Ty Lawson, who sprinted left and dished to Wayne Ellington, as the clock ran down at a lightning quick pace. Ellington cocked back and fired from behind the three point arch, the crowd fell silent, the game slowed down, as the ball splashed through, hitting nothing but nylon. The entire stadium fell silent with a few yelps from the Tarheel faithful. This forced Carolina fans worldwide to leap out of their chairs and celebrate like they never have before. There is no better feeling in sports than winning with a last second effort.
