Story

By TarheelArchie
Struggling on the road, the number one team in the nation, the North Carolina Tarheels, were determined to find a way to down the unranked Clemson Tigers. As the second half wore on, it seemed as though the Tarheels hopes of retaining their #1 rank was not a realistic thought, but what was about to happen was something that not even the players had envisioned. With 3.4 seconds to go in the game, trailing by two points the ball was passed in from the sideline to Ty Lawson, who sprinted left and dished to Wayne Ellington, as the clock ran down at a lightning quick pace. Ellington cocked back and fired from behind the three point arch, the crowd fell silent, the game slowed down, as the ball splashed through, hitting nothing but nylon. The entire stadium fell silent with a few yelps from the Tarheel faithful. This forced Carolina fans worldwide to leap out of their chairs and celebrate like they never have before. There is no better feeling in sports than winning with a last second effort.

Artist Statement

By TarheelArchie
Overall with my blog I intend to share my talents of art with the entire world with a single click of the mouse. Also I have enjoyed sharing my favorite art pieces and artists in my life. In the future I plan on continuing on the path I am currently on, hopefully with time permitting i will start to turn more towards my personal works once again as I will have more available time for art in my near future. Over the summer i would like to insert a large amount of woodworking pictures and possibly some videos of me turning bowls and other miscelaneous works. Overall I feel as though I have helped someone somewhere, take their attention away from their stressful schedule and given them a place to enjoy their surroundings. As an artist I couldn't ask for much more.

Artist Statement from Personal Page

By TarheelArchie
So basically from a young age I've been strongly influenced by art in every aspect of my life. Over the last 13 years I have constantly spent my lecture and class time sketching anything and everything I could. Therefore I have decided to create this page due to the fact that I would love to share my hobby and talent with a wider audience. Hope you enjoy.

Assignment 4

By TarheelArchie
Basically every day of my life from November to late March revolves around college basketball. First and foremost i have an insane obsession with North Carolina basketball. A distant second is Ohio State of course, and on november 28 2008 one of the greatest events of my lifetime occured in columbus. The Tarheels brought in college game day to Columbus for a 9 PM game against the unranked OSU squad. My mind was occupied for days before this game with the idea that i would be feet from one of the most talented teams in recent Tarheel history. The first image is of our group before the game. Due to the fact that we have general admission tickets we arrived at 5PM for a 9PM game. We waited outside for about 3 hours and were inside by 8. If you notice i have all osu on, but underneath is where the magic is.... all BABY BLUE... as soon as the game tipped off, my jacket and hat were on my seat and i was a tarheel for everyone to heckle.
This second image is during the game when the buckeyes were up slightly on UNC, Wayne Ellington and John Diebler were down at our end while the ball was being brought down.. INSANE
This concludes my day in the life post. This is not just any day of my life, but most definitely THE day of my life.

Reviewing TheLaughingDonkey

By TarheelArchie
This page is one my favorites to this point. The template seems a bit plain due to the artistic background of the blogger. But the content of the posts overtakes the bland background. I really enjoyed the works of art presented, especially the most recent post with the yelling person. I also like the header picture it's very creative and gives you a since of what's to come as you look farther into the blog. Great page and can't wait to see what comes up next.

Reviewing ItsJustStallTalk

This page was interesting to me, I like the overall appearance of the page as well as the content that accompany it. The idea of looking at bathroom stall walls and posting the images to the internet is something that may seem awkward to some, but to others like myself it is interesting to the point that it can't be ignored. I like how instead of just posting the pictures you haver put your own spin on the posts which makes it much more interesting. Overall i loved the page keep up the good work, and i'm sure i'll be back very soon.

Reviewing Katelynian

I really enjoyed this page, due to the fact that it is filled with artistic elements. The sketches are comical and show a lot of work. This is a page that i could imagine visiting out of my own free will. I also liked the poll question on the left column which helps along the comical image of the page. Overall a good page and i look forward to many more visits in the future.

Reviewing esterfranklin.blogspot.com

By TarheelArchie
In reviewing the site esterfranklin.blogspot.com, at first glance it appears to be a bit plain. But what the page lacks in aesthetics it quickly makes up for with content. As far as describing the D.I.E.T. of the page i would say that the description would definitely be plain so far, with a blue background with lots of simplicity. Interpreting the page was a bit tougher, the two blogs so far seem to suggest that it is more random than anything. It seems as though the page will evolve into an entertaing, "what is going to happen next" sort of blog. Evaluation of when the site may work for me goes as far as when i feel like seeing something off the norm. Sometimes i get the desire to look at something different than just eBay, car sites, basketball sites, or sites in and around design. Theorizing this page is a bit tough, it is difficult to imply something about a site that has no definite direction. In some instances it is neccesary to have a very defined direction, but in the world of blogs anything goes, and i believe this page goes well.
